27 Aug Potato Events Autumn 2020
The COVID-19 will unfortunately take its toll also on the potato events this autumn.
Potato Europe was supposed to take place next week in France. The decision to cancel the event altogether was made well in advance.
The Open Days events by seed potato companies in Holland are somewhat a question mark for the time being. At least HZPC has announced that instead of a live gathering, they will host a virtual event called PD20 on the 4th of November.
According to the press release dated 27th of August, Interpom will be postponed by one year. The Belgian National Security council has decided in the end of July, that trade fairs can be organized from 1st of September onwards, as long as the epidemiological circumstances permit and strict safety measures are followed. However, Kortrijk Xpo and Belgapom have now jointly decided to push the event to November 2021 due to numerous uncertainties, such as travel restrictions, in the current pandemic situation.
